Organizing a pilot assessment of the National Vocational Skills Assessment in 2020

To strengthen the assessment and grant certificates to recognize the level of  National Vocational Skills of teachers in vocational education institutions and employees in enterprises according to the National Vocational Qualifications Framework, on the morning of November 27, 2020, the National Vocational Skills Assessment Center – College of Machinery and Irrigation held a 2020 National Vocational Skills Assessment for Metal Cutting, Automobile Technology, and Industrial Electricity at level 2/5 and 3/5.

Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong – Rector of the College; Members in the Board of Examiners, the Supervisory Team and 150 candidates participated in the Assessment.

The scene of the Opening Ceremony

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong – Rector of College expressed his honor when the College was selected by the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training to be the pilot assessment organization unit of National Vocational Skills in 2020. The College had created the best conditions for facilities and equipment necessary to serve the assessment. He also emphasized the importance of the National Vocational Skills Assessment. It was as a basis for assessing the skills of workers, proceeding to standardize the contingent of lecturers and students at vocational institutions, developing high-tech human resources in the province as well as neighboring areas. At the same time, he wished the contestants to be calm and confident to achieve high results in the assessment.

After the opening ceremony, 150 candidates participated in 2 parts: theory exam and practical skills exam. The assessment took place seriously and objectively to assess the quality of the candidates.

The vocational skills assessment attracted candidates who were teachers of colleges and workers working in Dong Nai enterprises and neighboring provinces. This was also the basis for employers to recruit, assign jobs and pay salaries in accordance with the level of vocational skills in vocational training institutions; enhancing competitiveness in the process of integrating with the region and the world.

Mr. Bui Manh Hung announced the decisions to establish the Board of Examiners and the Supervisory Team.

The implementation of vocational skill assessment and certification at the College had practical and effective meaning in encouraging employees and related objects to constantly improve their vocational skills level; thereby contributing to improving the quality of national human resources, gradually approaching vocational skill standards to reach ASEAN and international qualifications, aiming to deepen the conomic integration and development.
